Who We Are:

Roar is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, church in San Diego. We have a strong desire to build strong families, strong marriages, and strong disciples with a strong intentionality. We are a people who have been transformed by the power of God, and we hope to transform our communities, our city, our nation, and our world. We are passionate about building spiritual family and making a difference in our local communities, and on our local university campuses, to reach the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

We are affiliated with Every Nation, a worldwide family of churches and ministries that exists to honor God and advance His Kingdom through Church Planting, Campus Ministry, Social Justice, and World Missions in order to reach every nation in our generation.

Roar will always focus on building a solid, Christ-centered family through nurturing and discipling believers in the Word of God, effective prayer, and sincere relationships. We believe that through our commitment to the core values of discipleship, leadership development, and evangelism many souls will have the opportunity to come to Christ. It's our desire to engage our community with the gospel of Christ, establish every believer in the foundations of God, equip them to do the work of the ministry, and empower them to fulfill there God-given destiny.

Kid’s Roar:

Our number one goal is to help kids develop their own relationship with Jesus. We want them to experience Him for themselves through Kid's worship time, Bible teaching and learning to listen to and obey His voice.

We believe that children are not only our future (no pun intended) but that they have a voice now -- they can roar! They have a sphere of influence that reaches, not only other children, but teachers, friends, parents, and other family members, to name a few.

We strive to assist and support parents as they "train up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord."

We seek to lay a foundation of security and confidence -- that they would find their identity in Jesus rather that sports, relationships, looks, talents or accomplishments. We desire to bring them to a place of maturity, preparing them ultimately to walk in the fullness of their calling and destiny as disciples of Christ and to take their place in "the great circle of life" as ministers of reconciliation, reconciling the world back to God.
